Mr. Maqsood Ahmad's Profile

Mr. Maqsood Ahmad is a highly accomplished medical laboratory expert with 15 years of experience in laboratory accreditation, audits, and quality assurance. He holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology. His expertise spans ISO 15189:2022, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 17025:2017, and ISO 17043:2023, making him a key contributor to the accreditation of medical laboratories. As a Technical Assessor at the Pakistan National Accreditation Council (PNAC), Islamabad, he has conducted numerous technical audits, surveillance assessments, and gap analyses to ensure compliance with international quality standards. His proficiency extends across clinical chemistry, special chemistry, microbiology, hematology, molecular diagnostics, and blood bank, where he has played a crucial role in optimizing workflows and implementing standardized testing protocols.  

Currently serving as an ISO Accreditation Expert at DAI - Fleming Fund, Pakistan, Mr. Ahmad is leading accreditation efforts for medical laboratories in collaboration with the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM), UK. 

Beyond medical labs, he has vast experience in the preparation, implementation, and accreditation of healthcare facilities, including radiology centers, dialysis units, and complete hospitals, based on Minimum Service Delivery Standards (MSDS). His expertise in regulatory compliance and quality management has made him a sought-after consultant in the field.  

In addition to his laboratory accreditation expertise, Mr. Ahmad has completed specialized ISO certification courses and is a Certified MSDS Specialist from the Punjab Healthcare Commission (PHC). His dedication to laboratory excellence is evident through his research contributions, technical training sessions, and active involvement in mentoring professionals in quality management and accreditation processes.
